Meet Orphan Voice


Tony and Cindy Brewer

Tony, Cindy, Jillian, Anna Mei, Elizabeth, Faith, JoyTony and Cindy are the proud parents of Jillian Marie, Anna Mei, Elizabeth, Faith and Joy. The whole family currently resides in Danang, Vietnam. Tony graduated with degrees from Asbury College, CBN University, Regent University Law School, and Georgetown Law Center. Along with others, he and Cindy began the ministry of A Helping Hand Adoption Agency in 1995. In 2007, Cindy and Tony began Orphan Voice Ministries, a ministry to help orphans, street children and other children at risk in Asia. Tony currently serves on the board of A Helping Hand and is the Programs Director of Orphan Voice Ministries. Tony's wife, Cindy, is the former minister of adult education at Christ Church in Arlington (Arlington, VA) and Versailles United Methodist (Versailles, KY). Currently, Cindy is a full time stay-at-home mom to Jillian, Anna Mei, Elizabeth, Faith and Joy.

Duc and Linh

Bui Van Duc, Nguyen Thi Tuong Linh, Bui Nguyen Buu Ngoc (Sally)Duc Van Bui and his wife Linh have been married since 2005. They have one daughter, Bui Nguyen Buu Ngoc (or Sally, as we call her). Duc graduated from Danang University in 2000 with a pedagogical bachelor of arts degree. Linh is finishing up her first year of university studies in English. Duc has been working with Tony in his orphan relief efforts since 2005. Duc assists Orphan Voice with translation and communication between Orphan Voice staff and government and orphanage officials.

Enoch and Marissa Eubank

The Eubank FamilyEnoch and Marissa have been involved with Orphan Voice Ministries and its partner ministry, A Helping Hand Adoption Agency, for four years. They both hold bachelor’s degrees from Morehead State University in their home state of Kentucky. The Eubanks currently make their home in Danang, Vietnam. Enoch’s roles with Orphan Voice include IT and Search Engine Optimization; Marissa is the Child Sponsorship Coordinator.

Chau

Nguyen Thi ChauNguyen Thi Chau graduated from Danang University with a bachelors in English. Chau works with Orphan Voice as Teacher's Assistant/Administrative Assistant. As Teacher's Assistant, Chau teaches a Bible class and drills math, spelling, and reading. Her duties in the Orphan Voice office include translation and records maintenance.

Audrey Quealey

Audrey QuealeyAudrey came to Vietnam in March of 2009. She loves the people and the culture of Vietnam, and enjoys learning more about the people and relationships everyday. She has a bachelors degree in English Literature from Azusa Pacific University, and continues to learn about the world through books. Audrey Quealey was born and raised in Edmonds, Washington, where her supportive and loving family currently reside. Audrey has been volunteering with Orphan Voice since March of 2010 and is serving as the Friendship Team Coordinator

Vickie Birkheimer

Vickie BirkheimerVickie spent 21 years as a Master Cosmetologist in Brazil, IN where she also studied music at Indiana State University. She moved to Grayson, KY in 1990 to work at Kentucky Christian College as a telecommunications office manager, and later, as administrative assistant to the Bible and Ministries Department. In February 2000, Vickie moved to Lexington, KY to work at Southland Christian Church as ministry assistant to single adults. There she met Kent Birkheimer who soon became her best friend. One year later, Kent and Vickie were married (December 15, 2001). On June 3, 2002 Vickie accepted the position of administrative assistant with A Helping Hand Adoption Agency and loves serving God by helping place homeless children in homes where they will be loved and nurtured. She has served as their Financial Assistant for the last 5 years. Vickie began working with Orphan Voice as Bookkeeper on October 15, 2009 and is looking forward to all God has planned for her as she begins this new adventure. She will also continue her work with A Helping Hand. Her favorite Scriptures are Psalm 34 and Ephesians 3:20-21, "Now unto Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ask or dream..." Dare to dream; He is faithful!

Phuong

PhuongBich Phuong Vu Thi is a student at the Duy Tan University in Danang, Vietnam. When she isn't in class or studying, Phuong works part time as a translator for Orphan Voice staff and a social worker who makes visits to families and children in Orphan Voice programs. Phuong devotes much of her time to translating communications between sponsors and children in Orphan Voice's child sponsorship program and she works with the Child Sponsorship Coordinator to acquire updated information on each child in the program. Out of all of her responsibilities, Phuong most enjoys visiting and delivering food to families in Orphan Voice's Family Preservation Program.

Lance and Kristen Baker

Lance and Kristen BakerKristen and Lance got married August 2007 after graduating from Spring Arbor University. Ever since they first met as friends in college, they talked about their passion to live and serve overseas. Kristen and Lance have been living and teaching English in Vietnam since August 2009. They fell in love with Vietnam and quickly became aware of the many needs and opportunities to serve. They have always felt a strong compassion toward children and the victims of poverty and neglect. When they learned of the opportunity to serve with Orphan Voice it was very clear to them that this was the direction they felt called in. They are so excited to partner with an organization that is so responsive and well-tuned to the needs of the community.

Robin Fawcett

Robin FawcettRobin Fawcett, graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a degree in education and an emphasis in art. He's always had a passion for kids, especially when it comes to playing sports and games. He believes sports give kids a way to relate, build friendships, and equip them with physical skills needed in everyday life. Robin moved to Vietnam in July of 2009 and has felt a continual call to be involved in what God is doing there. Robin began working with Orphan Voice in May 2010 and has been a part in planning events, teaching sports, and spending time in the orphanages. He also helps in assisting with Orphan Voice media. Robin's life verse is Proverbs 27:17, "As iron sharpens iron; so one man sharpens another."

Tim Eldridge

Tim EldridgeTim accepted Christ with a comittment to follow Him at age 14. Tim was called into music about a year later and has been blessed to be involved at various times with three specific music groups from that time until the present. Tim has served with international teams (construction and other projects) at his church conference's Andros Bahamas conference. He is a member of the Gideons International. Tim also participated in a 2 week ISB in Bari/Milan Italy in November 2006. With his wife Claudette, Tim has served in the youth work at his local church as well as in the church's annual regional week-long youth camp for over 30 years. Tim and Claudette have two married sons with two beautiful grandchildren. Tim is a CPA and managing partner of Eldridge, Jackson & Leedy, PLLC, which he started as a sole proprietor in 1986. He loves the Lord with all his heart, soul, mind and strength and plans to make Heaven his eternal home. Tim is the treasurer of Orphan Voice's board of directors.

Kathy Alexander

Kathy AlexanderKathy Alexander became involved with Orphan Voice through OV's partner ministry, A Helping Hand when she and her husband adopted their youngest daughter. Kathy received her BA in Education from Hiram College and her MA in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University. Kathy, and her husband Tom, attend Fairfield Christian Church in Lancaster, Ohio where Tom is the Lead Minister. Kathy coordinates adoption and orphan care efforts for their home church. Tom and Kathy have five children; their oldest son who was adopted domestically, two biological sons and two daughters who were adopted from China. Kathy serves on the board of director's for Orphan Voice.
