Background: Phuoc's father left her family when Phuoc was still in the cradle. He re-married and lives with his wife and children in the village where Phuoc grew up. Phuoc's mother is not able to hear or speak, so is unable to earn the money to care for her daughter. As a result, Phuoc lived with her maternal grandparents for a time before coming to the Dai Loc orphanage.

Phuoc's grandmother was forced to take Phuoc to work with her when Phuoc was young. One day, they met Phuoc's father on the way to work. Phuoc's grandmother asked Phuoc (then around four or five) to approach her father and ask for money for milk. He immediately refused her. This is the only memory Phuoc has of her father.

Personality and Interests: Phuoc is sweet and gentle. She likes to read books, listen to music, and paint.
