Nam is a shy boy who is well-behaved and eager to please. Nam's father is not living. His mother is crippled and had difficulty finding work to support her three children. Nam wasn't able to receive proper care or nutrition, so his mother sought help.

Now Nam is happily settled in to his new home at Promise House where he is surrounded by playmates, his belly is full, and his needs are met.
