Early January 2010, we travelled high up into the mountains within ten miles of the border Vietnam shares with Laos.



Our mission was to deliver durable shoes, warm blankets and His love to minority children!



Getting there presented some challenges. The dirt roads are full of pot-holes, winding, uneven and perilous. We spent 45 minutes getting our truck out of the mud.



Still, our arrival brought the real excitement of the day!



The children were very shy, but invariably, they broke out with wide grins as they opened a bag with their very own gift.



To our partners, who provided over 1,000 pairs of shoes and the blankets for this project, we say “Thank you!”
