- Where We Work -
The Sharon Special Needs Unit is a home environment center for children with Cerebral Palsy. This home for special needs children is located in western China on two floors of a government orphanage.
The Sharon Unit provides 24 hour care for 6 severely handicapped children. Ralph and Judy Duley, physical therapists from New Zealand, live at the home and coordinate care for the children. Ralph and Judy have seen incredible improvements in the lives of the children since they were moved into the home on April 20 2006.
Judy Duley gives these comments in a monthly report: “The children have made great strides in their therapy this month and are trying hard in their classes. It is getting a bit cold in the Unit but we hope the heating will be on soon. Meanwhile the children are well and free from colds. We continue to visit the yard and do what we can. It is a depressing place and we would like to get more children out of there. However the Father knows and He will have the perfect timing.”
